We know that each one of you wants to add your own personal touch to that beautiful canvas you have just selected, and what a better way to do that than to select just the right fiber! Just the right fiber for you! We have wools, cottons, silks, ribbons, metallics, velours, overdyes, and the list goes on!

Each one of the canvases which we offer for sale on this website has been kitted in a number of different ways, one of which might just meet your needs. If however, you would like to have one of our canvases kitted with fibers different from those we have selected - something which you see on this list - we will be happy to do so! Perle Cotton #5 – Firmly twisted 100% cotton in a full spectrum of colors, including brights, pastels, deep tones, and muted shades. Creates a smooth surface with clearly defined stitches and a silky shine. Use on 14-18 count canvas. 27 yd. skeins.

Perle Cotton #3 – Firmly twisted 100% cotton in a heavier weight for 10 to 13 count canvas. Gives the same shine as #5 perle cotton, with a more textured surface created by the more pronounced twist. Full range of colors and shades, in 16 yd. skeins

BEAU GESTE

Wonder Twist – Firmly twisted 100% nylon fiber with great strength and durability and a nice sheen. Use for great definition in decorative stitches and for long wear on items such as belts and eyeglass cases. 50 solid colors and 11 variegated colors for stitching on 18 count canvas; 14 solid colors blended with a metallic fiber for use on 13-16 count canvas. 10 yd. skeins.

BROWN PAPER PACKAGES

Silk and Ivory – Ahh! This is truly a luxury fiber, spun from 50% merino wool and 50% silk. The smooth, soft texture makes it adaptable to a wide range of canvas mesh sizes, and also makes for stress-free stitching and a beautiful finish. The unique color selection keeps growing – so far there are 102 shades. 28 yd. skeins.

CARON COLLECTION

Impressions – A 50/50 blend of wool and silk in a fine weight which can be used singly on 24 mesh canvas, or plied to fit larger mesh canvas. It’s softness and color range make it ideal for beautifully shaded and tweeded effects. Used alone or with other fibers, it also works well in novelty stitches. 226 colors, in 36 yd. skeins.

Snow – The name describes it perfectly. An opalescent crystalline fiber with lots of sparkle. Very flexible and easy to work with, Snow works well in a single strand on 18 count canvas and plies for use on larger mesh. 10 yd. skeins.

DESIGNING WOMEN, UNLIMITED

Ribbon Floss – 100% rayon mini ribbon with the look of silk. This ribbon is braided rather than woven, so it is very soft and pliable, less likely to twist, and easy to stitch. Use on 14-18 count canvas; on larger mesh a cross-stitch will cover well. 38 beautiful colors, on 40 yd. spools.

Metallic Ribbon Floss – Ribbon Floss made with metallic threads. Use as you would regular ribbon floss to add sparkle to your stitching. 24 colors, on 30 yd. spools (except for color #10-opal which has 20 yds.)

 Shimmer Ribbon Floss – Ribbon Floss with fine metallic filaments added, to give a delicate shimmer your stitching. The 32 colors shade beautifully with regular Ribbon Floss or Metallic Ribbon Floss. On 30 yd. spools.
